Sex Education in Schools
The subjects that are taught in public schools vary from school to school. It all depends on where the school is located, but most students are taught the same things. Everyone at a public high school in America is taught common core like math, language arts, and history. When taking these courses, students are taught relatively the same things. However, one subject that is not taught with the same content nationwide is sex education. Only thirty-eight states are required to teach a sex education course. Twenty-nine of those thirty-eight states require abstinence to be a main focus ("Sex and HIV Education").
